Tastien is a Chinese quick-service restaurant chain specializing in “Chinese burgers” that combine the format and convenience of a hamburger with traditional Chinese flavors and culinary techniques. Founded in 2012, the company developed its signature hand-rolled, freshly baked buns using techniques derived from traditional Chinese dough-making, pairing them with fillings inspired by Chinese cuisine. Tastien formally established the “Chinese burger” category in 2019 as it shifted its focus toward creating a distinctly Chinese interpretation of Western fast food.

Tastien’s menu centers on its freshly baked Chinese burgers alongside fried chicken, snacks, beverages, and other quick-service offerings. The company combines accessible pricing and convenient dining with product and restaurant design inspired by Chinese culture, and has expanded rapidly through a franchise-based model. As of October 2025, Tastien had signed more than 10,000 franchised locations across more than 300 cities in China.
